Boss Reece is back and he’s not wasting any time hitting the studios and hitting the stage like he was never gone. Like all we all have our trials and tribulations Boss Reece has had his share of situations and hardships that he’s had to work through. He says he can reflect on times though out his life given him lessons that built his character, listening to his dad even when his dad thought he wasn’t listening. Having a good support system from his uncle PK being his biggest fan to his Dad being his manager, they allow him to make his mistakes, but they do hold him accountable and let him know when he did mess up.
Born and raised in Compton with his five other siblings TyReece was the middle child now he’s the man “Boss Reece”, with a family of 2 kids of his own he states “ my kids are the best thing to ever happen to me they make me a better man every day”.
Growing up in Compton was rough and stressful he says but the struggle and the process are what made him stronger. Living in the city grows you up faster.
Growing up watching his relatives freestyling and rapping has always inspired him to wanna be just like them having an uncle Around who was signed by Dude C allowed him to be wise. Boss says that he feels blessed to have a family that understands his journey as an artist and can relate to his passion and strives. Saying you ain’t nothing if your city doesn’t know and Support you! #compton4life
Delivering his anthem “Bounce Back” he says that it is a song that everybody can relate to. If you have ever been through something and you got your “bounce back” from that, this is for you. A lot of Boss Reese‘s music is his own personal experiences and experiences that he’s learned throughout life throughout the struggle. His music style is pain although he tries to be versatile or switch it up there’s something that keeps pulling him back to the pain genre.
What does music mean to you? “ Music is my therapy music is a way for me to express myself tell people how I feel and open my mind to things I would’ve never thought about it helps me to relax and get into my process”.
What is your Musical creative process? “ The way I get into my musical process is after a long day I will come in and start listening to beats, when “the one” catches my attention that’s when I’ll start writing. Sometimes throughout my day or night words will just come to me and I’ll write them down and figure out the beat later”.
What are the It factors for this industry? Boss says that the “It factors” for this industry is to always stay consistent no matter how long you’ve been doing this and strive to always be remembered.
Boss is enriched with heritage building a deep-rutted team With strong influences from his dad and his uncle and support from DJ Spinn(a known veteran DJ throughout LA). Breaking out into the industry does not scare him being brought out of his character is another story. Understanding that this is a business and as long as he has his support system and focuses he will remain 10 toes deep and continue to grow. With humbleness goals and strive Boss wants to get in the studio with Diddy (@diddy) and DJ Khaled (@djkhaled).
